The large, glossy silver foil lampwork beads in this necklace are extremely luminous, and I had fun pairing them with the matte green beads.

The green beads are made of recycled glass by the Krobo people of Ghana, a complicated process that involves pulverizing the glass and then re-fusing it. The colors are beautiful -- shades of red-brown and blue, in addition to the green.
